Search For Wanted Man Alemayehu Townsend Expands To Lower Mainland

Victoria, BC – Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crimes Unit are expanding their search for wanted man Alemayehu Townsend to include the lower mainland.

Investigators are appealing to partner law enforcement agencies, media organizations and members of the lower mainland community to be aware that wanted man Alemayehu Townsend may be in their area.

Alemayehu Townsend, who was the subject of a wanted person notification on April 8^th, is wanted on several outstanding warrants for recent offences in Victoria which include forcible confinement, extortion, assault causing bodily harm, and assault with a weapon.

Alemayehu Townsend is described as a 19-year-old Black man standing five feet, seven inches tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. A photograph of Alemayehu Townsend is below.
