Victoria, BC – VicPD officers are asking for anyone with information to come forward after seizing a realistic replica shotgun from an abandoned tent in Stadacona Park on October 8th, 2022.

Community Services Division (CSD) officers were working alongside City of Victoria Bylaw staff conducting enforcement and outreach in Stadacona Park. Officers located an abandoned tent and upon looking inside, located what they believed to be a sawed-off shotgun. The weapon was seized by officers and transported to VicPD headquarters to confirm if it was a replica or real firearm. No one present in the park claimed ownership of the tent or the weapon.

Further examination confirmed the item to be a realistic replica. An image of the seized replica sawed-off shotgun is below.
