Victoria, BC – Today marks the five-year anniversary of VicPD Constable Ian Jordan’s passing.
Cst. Ian Jordan was injured on duty on September 22, 1987 as he was responding to a business alarm. His police vehicle collided with another responding police vehicle at Douglas and Fisgard streets. He never regained consciousness and was hospitalized up to the date of his passing on April 11, 2018. He was 35 years old at the time of the incident.
Hospitalized for over 30 years, many VicPD officers and staff visited Cst. Jordan regularly and made sure he knew he was part of our VicPD family.
Cst. Ian Jordan is survived by his wife Hilary and son Mark, who are in our thoughts today.
We will never forget the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes. You can learn more about the VicPD officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty by visiting our webpage Fallen Heroes.
