Victoria, BC – On June 16, before 10:30 pm, VicPD Patrol officers received a report of multiple shots being fired outside a residence in the 1100-block of Lyall Street.
Two individuals suffered gunshot wounds and were hospitalized. One of the individuals is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries, while the other received non-life-threatening injuries. Officers with VicPD’s Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services Unit are currently investigating the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
The shooting is believed to be targeted; however, the discharging of a firearm in public is highly dangerous and officers are completing an ongoing risk assessment for public safety. Should it be determined there is any risk to public safety, updates will be provided.
