Victoria, BC – Officers are looking to speak with additional victims that were threatened by a man carrying bear spray early Saturday morning in the 1500-block of Fort Street.
Just after 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, patrol officers attended the 1500-block of Fort Street for a report of a man carrying a can of bear spray approaching motorists and threatening to stab and spray them.
With the assistance of nearby witnesses, officers located the suspect who fled on foot. The suspect assaulted and threatened two officers while being taken into custody.
Officers are looking to speak with the driver of a silver vehicle, possibly a woman, who was also threatened by the suspect but left the area before police arrived. Anyone who has information about this incident or any additional victims are asked to call the E-Comm Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 and provide file number 2024-34582.
The suspect was arrested and held in custody for a court appearance. Further information cannot be shared at this time as this file is now before the courts.
