Victoria, B.C. – Investigators are seeking additional dashcam, cell phone or CCTV footage of a highly visible incident that occurred on December 24, 2024, in which suspects fled from police while driving a stolen vehicle on three wheels.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on December 24, the owner of a stolen vehicle contacted VicPD to report seeing his stolen vehicle being driven near Store Street and Herald Street. The events that followed are summarized below:
- At 3:11 p.m. the stolen vehicle was spotted travelling westbound in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue, and moments later, westbound on Quadra Street as it left the area.
- Shortly afterward, the stolen vehicle was located by police stationary at Spruce Street and Nanaimo Street. The driver made contact with a police vehicle at that location which caused one of the wheels to dislodge. The truck was subsequently observed by multiple witnesses as it fled the scene on three wheels.
- The vehicle was later abandoned and recovered in the 3100-block of Harriet Street in Saanich.
This was a highly visible incident, shared widely online, and VicPD provided a statement informing the public the following day. To assist in identifying the suspects involved, investigators are asking anyone with relevant information, particularly dashcam, cell phone or CCTV footage, who have not yet contacted police, to call the EComm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654, extension 1, and reference file number 24-47595.

No arrests have been made, and there were no reported injuries. The investigation is ongoing as officers are working diligently to process evidence and identify suspects. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
