Victoria, B.C. – Drivers should expect traffic disruptions this weekend for the CFB Esquimalt Navy Run on Saturday, June 21, and the Triathlon of Compassion on Sunday, June 22.
VicPD officers and volunteers will be helping to manage traffic for both events.
Navy Run 5K and 10K | 25-21250
The CFB Esquimalt Navy Run will include 5K, 10K, and a Kids Fun Run. The race will take place in Esquimalt, and most roads will remain open to two-way traffic.
Roads will be fully closed on:
- Esquimalt Road between Sturdee Street and Grafton Street
- Admirals Road between Juno Street and Fraser Street
Barricades will be in place to help direct traffic. The Kids Fun Run begins at 8:15 a.m., followed by the main runs at 8:45 a.m. The event is expected to finish by 10:45 a.m.

Triathlon of Compassion | 25-21460
On Sunday, the Triathlon of Compassion, a fundraising event for the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre, will take place. The event starts and finishes at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre. The first heat starts at 7:30 a.m. and all events will finish at around 12:00 p.m. Police and volunteers will be assisting with traffic control.
Please be aware of potential traffic disruptions in the Esquimalt area on Sunday.
