Victoria, B.C. – Investigators are asking for the public's help to identify an individual involved in an assault with a weapon that occurred last week, resulting in serious, life-threatening injuries to the victim. Police continue to look for the suspect.

On July 9, just after 8:00 p.m., Patrol officers responded to a report of an injured person near the intersection of Douglas Street and Pandora Avenue. Officers located a woman who had sustained multiple stab wounds. Officers provided medical care alongside BCEHS paramedics, who then transported the woman to hospital.
Investigators believe the event originated in the 2100-block of Douglas Street at approximately 7:53 p.m. Two women were reportedly involved in an altercation, with one woman pursuing the other from Princess Avenue onto Douglas Street, briefly obstructing traffic, and then back towards Pembroke Street.
VicPD is releasing a camera image of two individuals near a commercial property on Douglas Street, and two images from dash camera video showing traffic stopping for two individuals believed to be the victim and the suspect. Investigators hope these images will help the public recall information and encourage anyone with information or additional video to come forward.
