Victoria, BC – Police are seeking the victim after a glass bottle was allegedly thrown at a mother and her baby in Centennial Square on Sunday, July 27. A female suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
At approximately 5:45 p.m. on July 27, 2025, police responded to a report of an assault in Centennial Square. Witnesses reported that a female threw a glass bottle towards a woman and her baby, but fortunately, it did not make contact. Bystanders intervened to prevent a physical altercation after the suspect then allegedly charged at the mother, and police quickly arrested the suspect. The assault is believed to be random.
The victim, along with her baby, left the scene prior to police arriving. Investigators are now seeking to identify and speak with the woman to obtain a statement to support charges.
The suspect has been released with a future court date pending victim identification.
