Victoria, B.C. – VicPD recently addressed community concerns about public safety in the 900 block of Balmoral Road. Community members had expressed concerns about street disorder, drug use, and a high number of overdoses in the area.  

As part of this work, VicPD’s Strike Force Unit, with the assistance of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT), executed a search warrant on a property in the 900 block of Balmoral Road. During the search, officers seized:  

  • 200 grams of illegal drugs
  • $100,600 in cash
  • various weapons

This file was led by Strike Force investigators and forms part of an ongoing effort to disrupt drug trafficking operations, reduce harm in the community, and restore public confidence and safety in our community. While this project marks an important step forward, the Strike Force Unit will continue to target drug traffickers. 

One man was arrested and has been released while the investigation continues. No further details are available at this time.
