Victoria, B.C. – On December 19, just before 1:00 p.m., Victoria Police Department, along with BC Emergency Health Services and Victoria Fire Department, responded to the intersection of Oak Bay Avenue and Foul Bay Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two pedestrians.
Police located a large collision scene spanning approximately one city block.
Initial investigation indicates the driver may have experienced a medical event, resulting in the vehicle travelling onto the sidewalk and striking two pedestrians.
Two people were transported to hospital.
VicPD is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision, with collision reconstruction specialists on scene. The area will remain closed for several hours while the investigation continues.
