File: 25-51891

Victoria, B.C. – At approximately 2:20 p.m. on December 31, 2025, officers were called to the 1100-block of Government Street after receiving a report that an individual had entered the rear of a U-Haul moving truck and was actively damaging its contents with a stick. Upon arrival, officers identified the 35 year old male suspect as Travis BRADLEY.

Officers attempted to negotiate with BRADLEY; however, his behaviour continued to escalate. To ensure public and officer safety, as well as to facilitate a controlled arrest, the truck was transported to VicPD headquarters where containment and resources were more readily available.

BRADLEY has been charged with five Criminal Code offences: Count 1, assaulting a peace officer, contrary to section 270(1)(a); Count 2, causing a disturbance, contrary to section 175(1)(a); Count 3, mischief, contrary to section 430; Count 4, assaulting a peace officer, contrary to section 270(1)(a); and Count 5, willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, contrary to section 129(a).

BRADLEY has been remanded and will remain in custody pending a court appearance on January 6, 2026.

VicPD wishes to thank members of the public for their cooperation and patience during this incident. The scene drew significant attention in the downtown core, and we appreciate the understanding and support shown as officers worked to safely resolve the situation.
