Victoria, B.C. – Investigators with Victoria Police (VicPD) General Investigation Services are asking for the public’s help to find Benton, a missing youth.

The youth was originally reported missing from another Vancouver Island community and has been seen several times in the Victoria area.

On January 21, VicPD was notified by a partner police agency that the youth had been spotted multiple times in Victoria since January 13, including a confirmed sighting near the intersection of Shelbourne Street and Hillside Avenue. Based on this information, the investigation was transferred to VicPD, and a missing person file was opened.

Benton is 5 feet 9 inches tall, with dark brown hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, and carrying a black backpack.

The youth is believed to be in the company of two other young people who are also the subjects of an active missing person investigation from another jurisdiction. Family members have reported seeing the youth in Victoria, but the youth has been actively avoiding contact to prevent being returned home.
