Victoria, BC – Major Crime Unit (MCU) investigators are asking for witnesses to come forward after a person was stabbed multiple times in the 1000-block of Pandora Avenue last night.
Just after 9:30 p.m. last night, Patrol officers were called to a residence in the 1400-block of Harrison Street for a report that Victoria Fire Department firefighters were administering medical care to a person with multiple stab wounds. Officers arrived and discovered a victim being treated for potentially life-threatening stab wounds.
BC Emergency Health Services paramedics attended and transported the victim to hospital. After medical treatment, the stabbing victim’s injuries now appear to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators, including officers with the Integrated Canine Service and VicPD’s Forensic Identification Section (FIS), responded and located a potential crime scene in the 1000-block of Pandora Avenue.
Investigators learned that the victim was sitting on a bench in the 1000-block of Pandora Avenue when they were confronted by a man who then randomly attacked them. The victim fled the area and, upon getting to safety, discovered they had been stabbed multiple times.
The suspect is described as a man standing five feet, five inches tall with a medium build, facial hair, hair past his ears, and what witnesses describe as an unkempt appearance.
There have been no arrests.
