Victoria, BC – Officers are asking for anybody that witnessed an assault downtown this past Sunday to call us.
On January 13th, officers were called for report of an assault at Yates and Douglas Streets. Officers spoke with the victim who reported that his electric wheelchair made contact with an unknown man. The man took exception to this contact and an altercation ensued. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators would like to speak with anybody in the area of Douglas and Yates Street between 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. that witnessed this assault, or has any information to identify the suspect. They can call us at 250-995-7654
