On December 27th,  at approximately 6:40 p.m. VicPD patrol officers attended the 1000 – block of Gillespie Place after the report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles.

As patrol officers arrived, they located a vehicle that had significant damage. After speaking with the occupants of both vehicles, it was determined that there has been a long history of domestic violence between two of the people involved. Investigators believe that one of the vehicles was driven by a man who intentionally drove at two other people in an attempt to harm them. Those two people were not in the vehicle at the time of the collision.  One of the people involved suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Charges have been sworn against Sebastien Normandin, a 46-year old man. Those charges include two counts of attempted murder and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He remains in custody and his next court appearance is on January 4th.

No further details will be released as the matter is now before the courts.
