Police Information Checks
The Victoria Police Department conducts Police Information Checks for residents of the City of Victoria and Township of Esquimalt only. Non-residents should apply to their local police agency.

The Victoria Police Department supports and encourages open and transparent communications with the public. We understand that from time to time, Freedom of Information requests are made with the implication that the information being requested is in the public interest and important for the public to know.
The VicPD Exhibit Control & Purchasing section is located at Victoria Police Headquarters at 850 Caledonia Avenue in Victoria, BC.
You can retrieve property between the hours of:
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Registering your bike takes a couple of minutes and must be done in person. You simply fill out the form with your contact information, bike serial number and description. You can fill out the form at any community event – starting with the launch of our bike registry at 1pm, July 15th, in Centennial Square – or at any point after the launch at VicPD Headquarters at 850 Caledonia Ave or the Esquimalt Public Safety Building. Once registered, officers will be able to gather all the particulars of your bike when we recover it, and get it back to you.
