Civil Fingerprints are done on Wednesday’s between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM.

Fingerprint Services
Victoria Police offer fingerprint services for the residents of Victoria and Esquimalt only. Those living outside of this jurisdiction are to contact thier local police policy agency. Fingerprints services are offered on Wednesdays.
Civil Fingerprint Services
The Victoria Police Department ONLY conducts Civil Fingerprint Services for the following reasons:
- Name Change
- Criminal Record Review Program/Criminal Record Review Agency
- Victoria Police – Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
We fingerprint for the above reasons only. We do not print for Visa, Immigration or Citizenship. Any other Fingerprint needs are conducted by the Commissionaires. Please contact them at 250-727-7755 or at their location at 928 Cloverdale Ave.
If your Fingerprint requirements fall within name change, CRRP or requested as part of a vulnerable sector check please contact 250-995-7314 to make an appointment. Once you have a confirmed date and appointment time, please attend the lobby of 850 Caledonia Ave.
Upon arrival, you will be required to:
- Produce two (2) pieces of government identification;
- Produce any forms received advising that fingerprints are required; and
- Pay the applicable fingerprints fees.
Court-ordered Fingerprint Services
Follow the instructions on your Form 10, issued at the time of your release. Court-ordered fingerprint services are offered 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM each Wednesday at 850 Caledonia Ave.
Change Of Name Process
Your receipt will be stamped indicating that your fingerprints have been submitted electronically. You MUST include your fingerprint receipt with your Change of Name Application.
Our office will submit your fingerprint electronically and the results will be returned directly to BC Vital Statistics from the RCMP in Ottawa. You will be required to return all other documentation from your application to Vital Statistics.
