Victoria BC – Today, the Victoria City Police Athletic Association (VCPAA) and VicPD Chief Frank Elsner awarded their educational scholarships to deserving recipients.
The VCPAA scholarships are given to students who demonstrate academic achievement and both school and community involvement. The scholarship is for a student who shows an overall commitment to team sports and helping within the school and their community. The scholarship goes to graduating students and encourages them to pursue further education.
The two awards were bestowed upon Ms. Jaren Bratt from Esquimalt High School and Ms. Kristina Niketas from Victoria High School.
The Victoria City Police Athletic Association is a non-profit society that supports events in the community and fosters positive relationships between the police and youth in Greater Victoria and South Island. Since its inception, the VCPAA has donated over one million dollars to events in our communities.
