Victoria, B.C. – Proactive patrols by plainclothes officers led to the arrest of a 65-year-old male last week after he committed an indecent act on a BC Transit bus while seated next to a 12-year-old girl. 

On March 27, Patrol officers initiated a surveillance project after receiving information about a suspect who had been committing indecent acts while riding BC Transit. The following evening, Thursday, March 28, plainclothes officers boarded a BC Transit bus and observed the suspect commit an indecent act while seated next to a 12-year-old girl. The suspect, Timothy Bush, was arrested as he attempted to exit the bus. 

Timothy Bush has been charged with one count of committing an indecent act and one count of exposing genitalia to a minor. Bush remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance.
