Victoria BC – VicPD Traffic officers are investigating a collision that left a senior with serious injuries and are looking for witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to the 800-block of Rupert Terrace at approximately 2:15 p.m. yesterday, on reports of the pedestrian being struck. Witnesses at the scene stated that the car, described as a grey Toyota Camry Hybrid had mounted the curb and struck the woman and her two dogs on the sidewalk. The woman suffered serious injuries and one of her dogs was killed.

The driver drove away from the scene, but witnesses were able to provide officers with the plate.

The driver was eventually spotted near the area of the collision and was arrested without incident.

Now officers are hoping to speak to any additional witnesses who may have seen the collision.
