Victoria BC – VicPD officers, who are investigating an assault that happened at a bar earlier this year, are hoping that a renewed call for witnesses will help solve the case.

Officers were called to Bastion Square at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 after a 33-year-old Langford man was struck in the face with an object, causing significant injury to the side of his face.

He was treated for his injuries and released and officers have been investigating since. Officers have now exhausted every investigative lead and are hoping that further witnesses may come forward.

“It’s disappointing that this incident occurs in a crowded bar and we’ve had so few people help our investigation as witnesses,” said Cst. Scott Buckler, investigating officer. “It’s important to us to solve this case and we can’t do it without your help.”
