Victoria, BC – The Victoria Police Athletic Association is hosting its annual youth golf tournament this week.

This year the tournament will take place on April 28th and 29th at Olympic View Golf course and will play host to some of the province’s best youth golfers. The tournament is open to high school students throughout British Columbia.

In addition to supporting youth in achieving excellence in sport, the purpose of the tournament is to foster positive relationships between the police and the youth of our community.

The Victoria City Police Athletic Association is proud to again host this event as part of their ongoing commitment to the community.

The Victoria City Police Athletic Association is a non-profit society that supports events in the community and fosters positive relationships between the police and youth in Greater Victoria and on the South Island. Since its inception, the VCPAA has donated over one million dollars to events in our communities.  Officers volunteer hundreds of hours towards these initiatives throughout the year.

Along with the annual youth golf tournament, the VCPAA sponsors and supports:

  • Boys and Girls Junior High School City Basketball Championships
  • Youth Wilderness Program
  • Scholarships at Esquimalt High School, Victoria High School and Camosun College
  • Sponsor of numerous community athletic teams in all areas of the South Island
