Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are asking for witnesses to come forward after taking a man into custody following reports of an indecent exposure in downtown Victoria on August 7th.
Officers were dispatched to the 700-block of Yates Street just before 4 p.m. on Friday, August 7th after our 911 Communications Centre received a call of a man standing on the corner of Yates and Blanshard streets exposing himself to both vehicle traffic and passersby. The caller provided a description of the man. Armed with this description, Patrol officers arrived and discovered a suspect in the area nearby. The suspect was taken into custody.
Based on the location of the incident and time of day at which it took place, investigators believe that others likely witnessed the suspect’s actions. Officers are asking for those who witnessed the incident to contact us.
