Update:  A Search warrant has been executed and several firearms have been located. Investigators are seeking several firearm related charges. There is no reason to believe that there is a risk to the public at this time.

Victoria BC – Our officers continue their investigation into a reported incident that saw one man point what appeared to be a firearm at another.

Last night, VicPD were called to the 2900-block of Douglas Street after a man reported that another man had pointed what he believed to be a firearm at him.  Our investigation led us to a residence in the 1400-block of Edgeware Road where police quickly descended on that residence and took three people into custody without incident.

The investigation continues and our investigators are pursuing a search warrant for the residence. One man remains in custody, and the other two have been eliminated as suspects and have been released.

Police are looking for witnesses that were in the area of the 2900-block of Douglas Street between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. that might have seen something suspicious.
