Victoria, BC – VicPD Financial Crime detectives are recommending three charges against a Victoria-area woman after a fraud investigation.

On May 18th, VicPD was contacted by Rob Fleming, Member of the B.C. Legislative Assembly, after he discovered some inconsistencies in his constituency office finances.  In the course of the investigation, it was determined by investigators that the inconsistencies might be criminal in nature and police have since recommended three charges including Theft over $5,000, Fraud over $5,000 and Utter Forged Documents.  Detectives believe that no one else was involved in this matter.

The Victoria-area woman is set to appear in court today.

As the investigation is now before the courts, VicPD will not be releasing any additional information at this time.
