Investigation Leads to Arrest in 26 Break and Enters

Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are recommending 26 charges of Break and Enter against a Victoria man.

Over the past month, VicPD’s Analysis and Intelligence Section observed an increase in overnight Break and Enters.  Further analysis noted similarities in a series of reported Break and Enters dating back to February this year.

Members from our Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the assistance of our Behavioural Assessment and Management Unit (BAMU),  were then able to identify a suspect.  Officers arrested a 53-year-old Victoria man and successfully attributed 26 of the Break and Enters to him.

The suspect, who was on parole for Break and Enter, is currently in custody.  His parole has been revoked and the investigation is ongoing.
