Victoria, BC – Investigators are appealing for witnesses after two suspicious fires this morning.

Officers were called to the 600-block of Dunedin Street just after 3 a.m. this morning for a report of a large fire at a business there. When officers arrived, they discovered an active fire. Victoria Fire Department firefighters attended the scene to extinguish the blaze.

A short time later, officers were called to a dock on the Selkirk Waterway in the 800-block of Central Spur Road.  At that time they located a fire in the dock structure. Victoria Fire Department firefighters were called to the scene and extinguished the blaze.

Victoria Fire Investigators have determined that both fires were intentionally set.

Investigators are looking to speak to witnesses in both of these fires.
