Victoria, BC – Officers are searching for a disabled woman’s sole means of transportation – her mobility scooter – which was stolen from a locked parking area.

The scooter is described as a red, three wheel Shoprider mobility scooter. It has a black seat, grey wheels and a blue “Victoria Blue Bash” sticker on the console. A photograph of a similar scooter is below.

The scooter was stolen from a multi-unit residential building in the 900-block of Balmoral Road between the evening of Wednesday August 9th and this morning. The woman, who faces significant mobility challenges, discovered the both locks she used to secure her scooter and her scooter gone when she went to go to a doctor’s appointment this morning.

While officers are searching for a suspect in the theft, they are also looking to reunite this woman with her scooter.

Officers drove the woman to her doctor’s appointment today.
