Victoria, BC – As with previous events, we will be deploying temporary cameras in support of our operations to ensure public safety during this year’s Remembrance Day ceremonies.
While there is no information indicating a known threat to these ceremonies, members of our armed forces have been the targets of attacks during official duties on Canadian soil in the recent past. The deployment of these cameras as part of our operations to help keep all of those who gather to remember the sacrifices of those who have served our nation safe.
As always, we are deploying these temporarily placed, monitored cameras in public spaces and in line with B.C. & national privacy legislation.
