Victoria BC – Investigators are seeking witnesses after an assault with a weapon last weekend.
The Victoria Police Communication Centre began receiving 911 calls just after midnight on December 15th when somebody was assaulted with a weapon in the area of Douglas and View Streets.
Multiple officers attended the area and a male was subsequently taken into custody at the intersection of Fort and Government Streets. During the course of the arrest, the suspect came into contact with a police vehicle. The suspect was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries where he was later released.
After speaking with witnesses, Major Crime Detectives believe that they have not yet spoken with all the people who witnessed the incident.
