Victoria, BC – One man is in custody and another treated for non-life-threatening injuries after an incident in Centennial Square Thursday afternoon.

Patrol officers were called to Centennial Square just before 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon for a report that two men were fighting with knives. Officers arrived within minutes of the 911 call and located one of the men with security personnel. This man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. The second man, who had fled the square, was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.

Investigation revealed that one of the men was not armed with a knife, but a collapsible baton.
