Victoria, BC – VicPD Investigative Services Division Major Crime Unit Detectives are investigating after a robbery with a firearm of a retail business Saturday night.

Patrol officers were called to the 100-block of Gorge Road East just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 1st, for a report that two men had robbed a store. The caller reported that during the robbery one of the men produced a handgun. The suspects fled the store before Patrol officers arrived.

No one was injured in the robbery. However, a VicPD officer, and two other people, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision which occurred while the officer was responding to a report related to the robbery. All three were transported to hospital, treated and released. The officer is recovering from their injuries and has not yet returned to work.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man, between 25 and 35-years-old, with a muscular build, standing over six feet tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and covered his face with a black bandana.

The second suspect is also described as a Caucasian man, between 25 and 35-years-old. His build is also muscular, but smaller than the first suspect. He is approximately six feet tall. He was wearing  a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front and covered his face with a red bandana.
