Victoria, BC – VicPD are asking members of the public to avoid attending our 850 Caledonia Avenue and 500 Park Place Esquimalt Division Front Counters whenever possible.

As part of our efforts to ensure we are able to maintain operational readiness during the COVID-19 pandemic we are asking members of the public to utilize our non-emergency line, or, where possible, report incidents online.

We are currently evaluating the status of many of the services we provide through our Front Counters including police information checks, taxi permits, property retrieval and other services. We’re exploring alternative methods of delivering these services and will provide updates as we are able. Do note that our Front Counters may temporarily close in the coming days.

For the latest information on Front Counter services, please visit our website, https://vicpd.ca, or our Twitter account https://twitter.com/vicpdcanada.

You can help our officers stay healthy and able to respond to 911 calls for service by reporting non-emergency crimes, where you have no suspect information, online here: https://vicpd.ca/services/report-a-crime-online/.

Our non-emergency line (250) 995-7654 is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please consider calling during non-peak times, such as outside of regular business hours, to avoid long wait times.

To report an emergency, including a crime in progress, always call 911.
