UPDATE | Suspect Arrested In Assault With Weapon Which Left Victim With Serious Injuries

Victoria, BC – A man has been arrested in relation to an assault with a weapon on Monday which left the victim with serious injuries.

On Monday, March 16^th, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Patrol officers attended a multi-unit residential building in the 3000-block of Douglas Street for a report that a man was injured after being assaulted with a weapon. The man suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. He is still receiving medical care.

On Wednesday, March 18^th, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Patrol officers located and arrested the suspect in the 3100-block of Douglas Street. There were no injuries in the arrest.

Investigators continue to believe that this was an isolated incident, and that there is no risk to public safety.
