Victoria, BC – One man is in custody after Patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery last week.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 26th, Patrol officers were called to the 400-block of Cook Street for a report that a man had robbed a business. Officers learned that the man entered the business, told a staff member that he had a weapon, and demanded cash. The man obtained money and then fled the area. No one was injured in the robbery.

Multiple officers attended to the area, and a VicPD K9 unit was deployed to search for the suspect. Despite the thorough search, the man remained outstanding at that time.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday, Patrol officers responded to a report of a similar robbery in the 2100-block of Quadra Street. The suspect was located and taken into custody. No one was physically injured in this second incident.
