Victoria, BC – Strike Force officers seized approximately $30,000 worth of stolen property after an investigation into a prolific property offender yesterday.

On Tuesday, April 14th, Strike Force officers began an investigation into a man suspected to be in possession of a large amount of stolen property. At approximately 5 p.m., Strike Force officers executed a search warrant on a storage locker associated to that man in the 3900-block of Quadra Street.

The officers recovered approximately $30,000 worth of stolen property from the storage locker. The recovered property included a variety of power tools, liquor, and other items. Many of the recovered items are traceable, and some still have their anti-theft tags attached. Strike Force will be working hard over the next few days to return this property to its rightful owners. Strike Force’s investigation into this property offender is just one step in fighting the rising trend of property crime in Victoria and Esquimalt. Since the week of March 15-21st, VicPD has seen a 25% increase in property crime related calls for service. Overall, VicPD’s calls for service have increased by 22% in that time period. Strike Force officers are working to combat this trend, and they are already focused on their next prolific property offender.
