Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are looking for witnesses and asking you if you recognize the suspect in a robbery of Victoria Carriage Tours last night.

Officers were called to in the intersection of Menzies and Belleville at approximately 9:40 p.m. last night for a report that a horse carriage operator had been robbed. The horse carriage operator reported that she was approached from behind by a man who assaulted her by pushing her to the ground. The man then took the day’s pay envelope and fled on a bicycle. The horse carriage operator declined medical attention. Officers searched the nearby area for the man, but were unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his mid-30s, with a long, full beard. The man was wearing a black and red ball cap, a dark coloured hoody and jeans. He was riding a light coloured road bike at the time of the incident. The staff member reported seeing the man riding his bicycle in the area before the attack. He was last seen riding his bike away from the scene eastbound on Belleville Street.
