Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are warning the public after seizing six knives and locating an uncapped hypodermic needle near a playground this evening.
At 7 p.m. on August 21st Patrol officers were called to the Crystal Pool in the 2200-block of Quadra Street for a report of a man shouting and acting erratically outside. Officers attended but the man had left the area.
While on scene, officers located six unattended knives and an uncapped hypodermic needle, approximately 30-feet from a children’s playground. There were 25-30 children playing in the park at the time officers attended the call, and many other children using the baseball diamond and surrounding area.
Photographs of the knives, as well as the uncapped needle, are included below.
