Victoria, BC – Investigators are asking for witnesses and information after a stabbing in Centennial Square early this morning.

Shortly after 1:30 am on August 22nd, Patrol officers were in the area of Centennial Square when they noticed a man in medical distress walking in the roadway in the 1500-block of Douglas Street. Officers spoke with the man and quickly learned that he had been the victim of a stabbing. The man was suffering from potentially life-threatening-injuries.

Officers provided medical aid to the man until BC Emergency Health Services paramedics attended and transported him to hospital. His injuries are now considered non-life-threatening.

Officers determined that the stabbing occurred in Centennial Square. VicPD’s Forensic Identification Services attended the scene and are continuing the investigation.

No arrests have been made. This file remains under investigation.
