Victoria, BC – Officers are investigating after a man was stabbed in Beacon Hill Park this morning.

Patrol officers were called to Beacon Hill Park at approximately 6 a.m. for a report that a man in the park was yelling for people to call 911. Several area residents heard the man’s cries for help and called 911. Officers attended an area on the Cook Street side of the park where unhoused people are camping. They located the victim who was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The man, who was camping in the park, reported to officers that he had been stabbed, but refused to provide additional information. The man was transported to hospital.

Officers searched the area and began to look for a suspect and investigate the incident. They remain on scene.
