Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are investigating after a large fight involving skateboards and bear spray downtown yesterday evening.

Patrol officers were called to the Reeson Park area in the 1300-block of Wharf Street just after 6 p.m. yesterday for a report of a group of young men fighting armed with skateboards and bear spray. When officers arrived, most of those involved dispersed, however officers were able to locate two of the main participants.

Both of the men had non-life-threatening injuries. They were treated on scene by B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics but did not require transport to hospital. Neither man would provide statements as to what had occurred. Officers searched the area but did not locate any additional victims or participants.
