Victoria, BC – Our latest updates to the VicPD Community Dashboard are now live.

The VicPD Community Dashboard is a one-stop hub for statistics and other information that tells the story of how VicPD is working towards our strategic vision of “A Safer Community Together.”

Over a 17-week period from September 2020 to January 2021, we featured each of the 15 VicPD Community Dashboard measures and the results from our 2020 Community Survey.  Sharing this data and how we are using it is part of our ongoing effort to be as transparent and accountable as possible.

Over the last few weeks, we have updated several of our key indicators with the latest data, including:

1.2 Crime Severity Index (2019)

1.3 Crime Rate (2019)

1.4 Perception of Crime (2020)

2.1 Public Satisfaction with VicPD (2020)

3.1 Case Load per Officer (2019)

3.2 Staff Time Loss (2020)

3.3 Percentage of Officers who are Deployable (2020)

We’ll continue to add new data as we collect and analyze it and will continue to keep you informed of our updates. Some data is collected, analyzed and distributed internally, and other information, like the Crime Severity Index and Crime Rate, are provided by outside agencies, like Statistics Canada.

We’re always interested in your feedback on how we can make #OpenVicPD better. Please email [email protected] with your feedback.
