Fatal Vehicle Fire In Beacon Hill Park Deemed Non-Suspicious

Victoria, BC – Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crime Unit (MCU) have concluded their investigation into a fatal vehicle fire in Beacon Hill Park last week. The incident is not believed to be suspicious.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 4^th Patrol officers were called to Beacon Hill Park where the Victoria Fire Department was on scene extinguishing a vehicle fire. One man died in the incident. MCU detectives and officers with VicPD’s Forensic Identification Services continued the investigation, along with the BC Coroners Service and the Victoria Fire Department.

MCU detectives have concluded their investigation and the incident is not believed to be suspicious.

The BC Coroners Service is continuing an independent investigation to determine all of the facts surrounding the death.
