Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are asking for your assistance as they seek a suspect who targeted the cashbox at a Fort Street business during a break and enter captured on video.

Officers were called to the small business in the 700-block of Fort Street just after 10 a.m. on March 11th for a report of a break and enter. The proprietor had arrived at work to find the front door of the business damaged and the cashbox missing. Having installed high-quality, well-placed surveillance video, the proprietor was able to capture the break and enter and theft.

Just before 2:45 a.m. a suspect is seen entering the business through the broken front door. The suspect goes for the cashbox, steals it, and then exits the business through the door. The video is below.

The suspect was wearing a red and white “trucker” style hat, black athletic-style pants with white sections at the knees, black and white skate shoes, a grey hiking-style backpack with turquoise shoulder straps and zippers, a dark grey hoodie, and a royal blue rain coat which was tucked into the backpack.

The cashbox was located a short distance away.
