VIIMCU Investigation Into Beacon Hill Homicide Ongoing

Victoria, BC – The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) continues the investigation into the homicide of a woman found in Beacon Hill Park on March 3^rd.

This morning, VIIMCU investigators, with the assistance of Oak Bay Police, Saanich Police, the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, and VicPD, conducted additional investigative steps in the area of Fort Street and Foul Bay Road.

Traffic was briefly disrupted in the area but is now clear.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Investigators continue to assess the risk to public safety. Investigators do not believe that the general public is at risk. However, this investigation is ongoing.
