Victoria, BC – Patrol officers arrested a man and seized a replica firearm after a report of a person with a gun at a multi-unit temporary housing facility yesterday.
At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 11th, Patrol officers responded to a report of a man with a firearm in a suite at a multi-unit temporary housing location in the 100-block of Gorge Road East. Officers attended and located the suspect in the parking lot, attempting to leave the area. Officers arrested the man, and subsequently located a replica firearm in a suite at that location.

The man was the subject of conditions of a release order not to attend the multi-unit temporary housing facility, stemming from an assault file. Officers arrested the man for breaching a release order. Officers transported the man to VicPD cells where he was held in custody.
