Victoria, BC – A Victoria man faces 28 recommended breach charges after a search warrant at a residence led to the seizure of replica firearms, shotgun and rifle ammunition, drugs, additional weapons, and nearly $10,000 in cash.

In late June, Patrol officers began an investigation into a man suspected of trafficking drugs and firearms in Victoria. On June 28th Patrol officers, working with Strike Force and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT), arrested the man and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2500-block of Shelbourne Street.

Officers seized seven replica firearms, a crossbow, a compound bow, a machete, firearm ammunition, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and nearly $10,000 in cash. The cash is believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking. The man was the subject of probation orders and undertakings which prohibited him from possessing weapons. The man was also the subject of unendorsed warrants for previously breaching probation orders.

 

 

 

The suspect, a 30-year-old Victoria man, was transported to VicPD cells where he was held in custody. The suspect faces 28 recommended charges for breach of probation and breach of undertaking, as well as two additional drug related charges.
