Victoria, BC – Officers and a very happy rightful owner are thanking the person who turned in a $10,000 engagement ring, enabling our Special Municipal Constables to reunite it with the owner today.

The ring was the subject of a Community Update on Monday, June 28th, 2021 where we asked you to keep an eye out for it. The ring had last been seen in an office building in the 3000-block of Shelbourne Street on June 11th.

Earlier this afternoon, a community member saw a Facebook post about the lost ring and turned it in. The Special Municipal Constable working at the front desk contacted the owner who attended and was able to provide substantial proof the ring was theirs.

“I am just so grateful and thankful,” the emotional owner said. “This just really means so much to me.”
