Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are asking for your assistance as we work to locate a distinctive urn that was stolen during a residential break and enter over the weekend.

On Monday, August 2nd, Patrol officers received a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 900-block of Collinson Street. The incident is believed to have occurred between Thursday, July 27th and Sunday, August 1st, while the residence was unoccupied.

The suspect or suspects entered the residence and stole a distinctive urn containing a family member’s remains. Other valuables within the residence were left untouched. The urn containing is described as a wooden box with Indigenous carving and artistic design on the exterior. A photograph of the stolen urn is below.
